My countertops are finished! I am so happy with how they turned out. I used Giani's granite countertop kit in Chocolate Brown.

Here is a before picture-

This is the kitchen before we painted and refinished the cabinets and countertops

The kitchen after we painted. Being prepped for working on the cabinets.

The kitchen after the cabinets were finished, and before the countertops were finished.

HERE ARE THE AFTER PICTURES-

The final look. They really turned out great!

The kit cost me $70. It came with everything I needed and it was SO easy to do!

2 Months Old

Audriana turned 2 months old yesterday! She had her 2 month doctor appointment. She weighs 10 lbs 11 oz and is 22 ¼ inches long! She has grown a lot!

Pretty blue eyes :)

Her new thing is to mimic me when I stick my tongue out at her.

Audriana's 2 month achievements ~

1. She is almost sleeping through the night!

2. She smiles a lot when she is happy and her smiles are very big!

3. She holds eye contact for a long time.

4. She can hold her head up pretty well on her own now.

5. She is starting to "talk". She makes cooing sounds and tries to laugh.

6. She graduated to size 1 diapers and is barely fitting in her newborn clothes. Size 0-3 here we come!

7. Her hair is growing longer and is still quite curly!

She is so much fun right now. We love her so much!

Kitchen Cabinet Makeover

My latest house project has been the kitchen cabinets. Here is what they looked like before-

Here is what the process looked like-

After 2 coats of priming, the first coat of black goes on..

Everything after 2 coats of black.

Justin sanding down the cabinets..

Joey putting the finished product up (after the cabinets were distressed)

The drawers all finished!

The cabinets all finished!

I am so happy with the way they turned out. My inspiration came from this Pinterest tutorial ~ http://timmonsfamilylemonade.blogspot.com/2010/09/cupboard-makeover-phase-1.html

What do you think? The total project cost me about $75. Much cheaper than buying new cabinets!
